Pan-European study of Ukrainians in Europe

From challenge to solution
As of June 2023, there were about 4 million Ukrainian refugees living in Europe. Some Ukrainians moved there even before the full-scale invasion. Do they plan to return? What advantages do they see in living in Europe, and what is better in Ukraine? What conclusions should Ukraine draw? The Rating Lab research laboratory conducted a pan-European survey of Ukrainians that answers these questions.
Methodology
A multifaceted questionnaire about the life experience of Ukrainians in Europe was developed by Rating Lab.
It includes a set of indices of quality of life abroad: indices of Ukrainians' attitudes toward the local population and vice versa, indices of opportunities and limitations, and indices of services and travel.
Using these tools, the lab surveyed over 2,000 Ukrainians in 31 European countries between July 4 and 11, 2023.
These are representative statistics. The margin of error is ≤ 3.2% with a 95% confidence level.
How did we achieve this? Using the CAWI (Computer-Assisted Web Interviewing) method based on special Rating Group technology.
Respondents received an anonymous online questionnaire via messengers/social networks and filled it out themselves.

Insights
Some difficulties may arise, but almost all respondents live comfortably.
More than half of Ukrainians in Europe (including refugees) have not been home since leaving the country.
The more opportunities for self-fulfillment there are in Ukraine, the more people will return.
The advantages of Europe are work, protection, income, comfort, and infrastructure.
The advantages of Ukraine are services, particularly medical and, to some extent, educational services, business opportunities, and affordable housing.
