Ukrainians would also choose Chernovetskyi as Mayor of Kyiv
- Almost 20% of respondents nationwide consider L. Chernovetskyi the best candidate for the position of Mayor of Kyiv.
- Second place in a nationwide mayoral election would go to V. Klychko with 15%.
- Third place would be shared by O. Turchynov and O. Omelchenko with 7% each.
One third of respondents said this does not matter to them or were unable to answer this question.

- Fieldwork dates: 26 May – 3 June 2008.
- Sample size: 2,027.
- Age: 18+.
- Margin of error: up to 3.3%.
- West: Volyn, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Rivne, Ternopil, Chernivtsi.
- Center: Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy.
- North: Kyiv City, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Chernihiv.
- South: Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Odesa, Kherson, Mykolaiv.
- East: Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv.
- Donbas: Donetsk and Luhansk.
